About Cat Kingdom

Cat Boarding service in the Sutherland Shire

A little about myself, being an animal lover and having them almost my whole life, I knew a career with them was what I wanted.

Life long cat lover

I have had cats or been surrounded by cats my whole life. My career began as I started volunteer work with a renowned 24hr specialist hospital when I was in my final year of high school. I was soon offered a job as an animal attendant.

Qualified nurse

Shortly after, while continuing with this position, I enrolled into veterinary nursing certificate III and IV which I studied over the course of 2 years. I soon took an interest in ICU/emergency nursing where I have continued in this role for over 15 years, working in 3 well known 24hr specialist hospitals; The Animal Referral Hospital, SASH and Sydney University.

Dedicated animal lover

I still currently work casual shifts as an after hours emergency nurse but have decided to take my passion for animals, especially cats, in a different direction. Establishing Cat Kingdom is a dream job, being surrounded by these gorgeous creatures. What more could a cat lover want!

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions we hear in regards to our cat boarding services.
What if my cat requires medicating while in boarding?
Cat Kingdom is owned and run by a Veterinary Nurse. All medications, whether they're oral, injections or topical can be administered. We do need all medication to be clearly labelled by a veterinarian with the pets name and dosage.
What are the boarding requirements?
All of our guests must be up to date with their vaccination. Clients will need to provide their cats most recent vaccination certificate, this will need to clarify the vaccination was administered within the preceding 12 months, and a minimum of 2 weeks before checking in. The minimum vaccination required is F3. Vaccination certificates can either be emailed or brought in on the check in date. Flea prevention must also be current, and all cats will need to be de-sexed.
What will I need to bring with me on drop off?
Cat Kingdom provides bedding, bowls, litter and a variety of wet and dry food. Clients are always welcome to bring their own bedding and food along. You will be asked to supply your own food if your cat is on a special diet. Do the cats get time out of their condos?
Yes, all cats are given the opportunity to come out of their condo to explore the cattery, and secure outdoor area. We have a reverse cycle unit fitted in the cattery for ultimate comfort. We have cat towers, tunnels, toys, cat bridges and ramps for hours of cat entertainment. Our guests just love our bright and sunny outdoor area, whether your cat chooses to laze about in the hammocks, play on the ramps or watch the birds that come to visit.
My cat doesn't like other cats, do they have to socialize with the other guests?
No, all cats are different. Some of our guests are quite social and love to play with the other boarders, while others prefer timeout by themselves.
What happens if my cat falls ill during boarding?
In the unlikely event your cat falls ill during boarding, we will do our very best to have your cat seen by their regular veterinarian, otherwise they will be taken to the closest available vet hospital.
