Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions we hear in regards to our cat boarding services.
What are the boarding requirements?
All cats must be de-sexed, up to date with flea treatment and fully vaccinated. Clients will need to provide the most recent vaccination certificate- this will clarify the vaccination was administered within the preceding 12 months, and a minimum of 2 weeks before checking in. The minimum vaccination required is F3. Vaccination certificates can either be emailed or brought in on the check in date. Additional flea prevention will need to be provided for longer stays.
What will I need to bring with me on drop off?
Cat Kingdom provides bedding, bowls, litter and a variety of wet and dry food. Clients are always welcome to bring their cats own bedding and food along. You will be asked to supply your own food if your cat has special dietary requirements. If you haven't emailed a copy of your cats vaccination certificate, this will need to be brought in with you on admission, as well as the booking forms that are emailed to you when the initial booking is made.

Do the cats get time out of their condos?
Yes. All cats are given the opportunity to leave their condo to explore the common area, as well as our sunny secure outdoor area. We have a reverse cycle unit fitted in the cattery, for ultimate comfort. We have towers, tunnels, toys, bridges and ramps for hours of cat entertainment. Our guests love our bright and sunny outdoor area- whether your cat chooses to laze about in the sun, enjoy the view from our ramps or watch the birds that come to visit. There’s plenty of entertainment for all our guests.
My cat doesn't like other cats, do they have to socialise with the other guests?
No. All cats are offered individual time out of their condos. No cats are socialised with other guests from other families.
What happens if my cat falls ill during boarding?
In the unlikely event your cat falls ill during boarding, we will do our best to have your cat seen by your preferred veterinarian, you will be contacted immediately. If your regular veterinarian/vet hospital doesn’t have any availability, they will be seen to by another local vet hospital. Any concerns that may arise after hours, your cat will be transported to VSOS- a 24hr emergency vet hospital located in Miranda. Clients will be responsible for all medical costs involved.
